Privacy policy
This policy explains how Clickito handles information when a Shopify merchant installs or uses the app, and when visitors interact with Clickito blocks on a storefront.
Who we are
Clickito is operated by Artsiom Kukharenka, Pulawska 24b, Warsaw, Poland. In this policy, “Clickito”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the operator of the Clickito Shopify app.
Effective date: August 17, 2026.
Information we collect
We collect the information needed to install, operate, secure, and support Clickito:
- Your Shopify shop domain, shop name, and contact emails.
- Installation, uninstall, billing trial, and email timestamps.
- Shopify session and authentication information, including account details Shopify provides for authorized app users.
- Block names, shortcode IDs, status, text, layout, styling, custom CSS or JavaScript, and other block settings.
- References to selected products, variants, discounts, and Shopify Files, including titles, IDs, handles, prices, codes, availability, image URLs, and alt text where applicable.
- Blog and article metadata used to show where blocks appear, such as titles, handles, URLs, publication status, and shortcode placements. We scan article and theme content for Clickito shortcodes but do not store full article or theme file bodies.
- Information you provide when you contact us by email or support chat.
Images selected from Shopify Files remain hosted by Shopify. Clickito stores their Shopify references and URLs rather than uploading separate copies. Shopify handles app billing, and we do not receive your payment card details.
Storefront analytics
When a visitor sees or selects a Clickito block, the app records an impression or click event so the merchant can view block performance. An event may include:
- The shop and Clickito block involved.
- The page path, page type, blog handle, and article handle.
- A randomly generated view ID that connects a click to a block impression on that page view.
- The selected button or product label, action, and related product, variant, or discount identifiers.
- The date and time of the event.
Clickito does not set analytics cookies or use local storage for these events. The app analytics database does not store visitor names, email addresses, payment details, or IP addresses. We do not use this information for advertising or cross-store tracking.
Shopify data we access
Clickito requests read access to Shopify content, products, discounts, files, and themes. We use this access to let merchants build blocks, select products and discount codes, choose images, find shortcode placements, and keep product availability and prices current.
Clickito does not request access to Shopify customer, order, or payment data. Storefront add-to-cart actions are sent directly to the merchant’s Shopify store and are not stored by Clickito.
Merchants can add custom JavaScript or connect third-party analytics services. Those services process information under their own privacy policies; Clickito does not install or control them.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Install, authenticate, operate, and secure Clickito.
- Create, save, publish, and display merchant blocks.
- Keep selected product information current.
- Show block locations and performance analytics.
- Manage billing eligibility through Shopify.
- Provide support and send service-related emails.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
Sharing and processors
We share information only with providers that help us operate Clickito:
- Shopify, for app installation, authentication, billing, and access to merchant-authorized Shopify data.
- Hetzner, for hosting and database infrastructure.
- Resend, when we send service-related emails.
- Crisp, when a merchant chooses to use support chat. On this website, Crisp loads only after you select Support or support chat.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect Clickito and its users, or as part of a business transfer.
Data retention
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Shopify session records are deleted when Clickito receives an app uninstall webhook. Shop records, block settings, placement indexes, and analytics events may be retained after uninstall for support, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and business records. You can request deletion where applicable by contacting us.
International processing
Clickito is operated from Poland and hosted in the European Union. Some providers, including Shopify, Resend, and Crisp, may process information in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted HTTPS connections and authenticated Shopify requests. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information. You can make a request by emailing us at [email protected].
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and provide additional notice when appropriate.
